Extra credit is granted for a variety of activities as listed below and as announced in class.
The reports are graded on their contents as well as spelling, grammar and punctuation, and the grade determines how many of the extra credit points are awarded.
Maximum extra credit points: 10.

Personal Counseling: For each session with a mental/emotional health counselor at the Health Center, write a 1 -1/2 page typed report and attach a receipt from the counselor.

Hope and Mindset: Read the article on the Hope and Confidence tab and write 300-500 words, typed double spaced, explaining how a person can change their mindset and how a person can help their children have growth mindsets. For this report, you may also read some of the other articles linked to the Hope Mindset article. 1 1/2 points.

Campus activity: art exhibits, performances, etc: For 1 point, write 3/4 - 1 page (typed double spaced) on the activity. Include proof of attendance, such as ticket stubs.

Transfer Center: Visit the Crafton Hills Transfer Center and write 3/4 - 1 page (typed double spaced) on each visit. Attach a receipt from the counselor. Each report earns 1 point.

Veterans: Visit the Crafton Hills Veterans Center and write 3/4 - 1 page (typed double spaced) on each visit. Attach a receipt from the counselor. Each report earns 1 1/2 points.

Career Center: Visit the Crafton Hills Career Center and write 3/4 - 1 page (typed double spaced) on each visit. Consider taking aptitude tests. Attach a receipt from the counselor. Each report earns 1 point.

Stress Reduction: See the link on the Cause and Effect page to a report by Dr. Mercola on exercise and stress reduction. Read the entire article and watch both videos. For 1 1/2 points, write 3/4 - 1 page (typed double spaced) on the article and videos.
